In One Person

John Irving

From his familiar style to his surprising plot twists, John Irving doesn’t disappoint with this heartbreaking story of a young man grappling with sexual identity in the years before gay liberation.  I’m hard-pressed to think of a more eloquent plea for tolerance or a more vividly painful depiction of having “crushes on the wrong people.” This is a perception-altering masterpiece.  Highly recommended!
