The Devil All the Time

I can’t believe Dan Pollack made this all up, for he is a kind and gentle soul in person. The Devil All the Time is dark and gothic--yet has a sympathy, a softnesss for its hard edged characters that humanizes it.
 

To quote a fellow staffer, Mary: “I want me one of them prayer logs.”
 

Tragic. Gothic. Sometimes comic. The Devil all the time = “some beautiful literary writin’”.
